Prashanth Neel directorial action flick 'KGF: Chapter 1' starring Yash in a never seen before avatar and Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead had a steady run at the box office in its third week. The film has managed to collect well for its Hindi version and is a rare dubbed success from the Southern film industry, especially the first one which has not come from Telugu or Tamil industry. The Kannada film released on December 21 has hit the screen simultaneously in four different languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam across the country.

According to the latest report by, in its third week, the film has managed to collect a total of Rs 6 crore for the Hindi version. The Hindi format of the film has raked in a total of Rs 37.88 crore in twenty-one days at the box office.

The plot of the film revolves around the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka in the early 80s and is centered around the protagonist Rocky who wants to die as the richest and most powerful man. From the streets of Bombay to the fields of KGF, he embarks on the mission. This movie is the first part of the action duology.

Vijay Kiragandur has produced the film under the banner of Hombale films. Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, 'KGF' also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha in important roles.
